Baptism Analogies

Pentecost becomes the day the new covenant, spiritual kingdom of heaven, becomes in effect, the new believer's baptism (water) in Christ, is instituted, establish, confirm by powers and wonders. A believer's baptism (water) in Christ for all men, the Jews first on Pentecost and later even gentiles, enters men in new covenant, spiritual kingdom of heaven, receiving all spiritual privileges in Christ, his church:

Four analogies how baptism saves in the bible
  •  Born again or regeneration
John 3:5 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water ( water immersion in Christ ) and of the Spirit ( word of christ ), he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.

As in the natural process of events that we physically become who we are. Jesus knowing all things perceived to be born in the kingdom of heaven as similar to being born into a family or earthy kingdom. That one comes forth from water, a birth and also previously comes from seed, another birth. Conception as a birth? YES, we recently have observed physical conception,  where on TV it has been shown a man's seed "births" through the hardness of the shell of an egg of a woman, that is the birth of conception, before the birth of coming forth from the womb, water, into this world, to receive all privileges into a family.

When anyone believes ( acknowledges Jesus is Christ and Lord within his or her heart), he or she is born (conceived) of the spirit
( word of Christ ).

1) Born of spirit (seed, word of Christ), conceived. The seed, spirit ( word of Christ, John 6:63 )  births through the shell of hardness ( sin ) of our heart, conceives within, forms our belief Jesus is the Christ, becomes born of the spirit.

2) Born of water (immersion), coming forth from the water a second time. Where then the spirit growing developing within us, quickens us to confess him as christ and lord to man, quickens us to repent, and quickens us to birth, come from immersion (water) in Christ, becomes a son or daughter, a washing of regeneration, born from water again, born into covenant, spiritual household of God, kingdom of God, in Christ having all spiritual blessings, privileges from our heavenly Father.

  • Wash away sins
Acts 22:16 And now why tarriest thou ? arise , and be baptized , and wash away thy sins, calling on the name of the Lord.

  • Died to sin
Entered in Christ death, perfect (complete) sacrifice, receiving Christ justification. Paul writes believer's immersion ( water ) unites men in Christ death, CRUCIFIED ( SHEDDING OF BLOOD is applied to you) with Christ, BURIED, justified from sin, alive unto God, in Christ.

Romans
6:2  we who died to sin.....

6:3  all we who were baptized (water) into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death.
6:4  We were buried with him, through baptism unto death. ....
6:5  united with him in the likeness of his death, ....
6:6  knowing this, our old man was crucified (death, died, shed blood) with Christ, ....
6:7  for he that hath died, is Justified from sin .
6:11 Even so, reckon (count) ye also yourselves to be dead unto sin, but alive unto God "in" Christ Jesus.

  • Joined to another, [even] to him (Christ Jesus, new husband)
We are as a wife, who our husband (Moses Law of sin and death) has died to us, when we were made dead to the law (Moses Law of sin and death) through the body of Christ, that we should be joined to another, even to him (christ Jesus, new husband) who was raised from the dead, that we might bring forth fruit unto God.

Romans 7:1 Or are ye ignorant, brethren (for I speak to men who know the law), that the law ( analogy particularly Moses law of sin and death ) hath dominion over a man for so long time as he liveth? 2 For the woman that hath a husband is bound by law to the husband while he liveth; but if the husband die, she is discharged from the law of the husband. 3 So then if, while the husband liveth, she be joined to another man, she shall be called an adulteress: but if the husband die, she is free from the law, so that she is no adulteress, though she be joined to another man. 4 Wherefore, my brethren, ye also were made dead to the law through the body of Christ; that ye should be joined to another, [even] to him who was raised from the dead, that we might bring forth fruit unto God. 5 For when we were in the flesh, the sinful passions, which were through the law, wrought in our members to bring forth fruit unto death. 6 But now we have been discharged from the law, having died to that wherein we were held; so that we serve in newness of the spirit, and not in oldness of the letter.
