Sealed with that Holy Spirit of Promise

Paul writing to the Ephesians who were saved, saints, who already believed (believe, confess, repent and immerse (water) for forgiveness of sins").

Ephesians 1: 1 - 23 In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise, 14 Which is the earnest (sincere hope) of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory.

This seal is for them who believed, which means to humbly submitted to the steps of faith, as Abraham walked in steps of faith, whom Abraham then received a seal of circumcision, our seal we receive, is the "earnest (sincere hope) of our inheritance".

    Many Protestants (faith only movement) with zeal today claim this seal "earnest (sincere hope) of our inheritance" but have not walked in the steps of faith, believed (believe, confess , repent, and immerse ( water) for forgiveness of sins). So their seal is a false seal, false sign for them, same as many Jewish people trusted in their seal circumcision, but have not walked in the steps of faith.
    Protestants (faith only movement) mock "immersion (water) for forgiveness of sins" and pronounce it as only a seal, outward sign, never written in the bible as such. They then cling proudly onto an written in the bible, as only a "seal" (sign), the "earnest of inheritance" as their proof of salvation.
    Are you trusting in a mere "seal", mere sign "earnest (hope) of inheritance" which is in error, if you haven't been immersed (water) for forgiveness of your sins?
