Works of the Law (Moses)

Works of Moses Law
(over 600 laws of sin and death)

Notice Paul wrote of the works of the law (of Moses). Paul says by works of the law (over 600 laws of Moses that define sin and death), that no man is justified before God, they all violated some of the law of Moses, making them law breakers.

Rom 3:10-10 As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one: There is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God. They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable; there is none that doeth good, no, not one. Their throat [is] an open sepulchre; with their tongues they have used deceit; the poison of asps [is] under their lips: Whose mouth [is] full of cursing and bitterness: Their feet [are] swift to shed blood: Destruction and misery [are] in their ways: And the way of peace have they not known: There is no fear of God before their eyes. Now we know that what things soever the law saith, it speaketh to them that are under the law; that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may be brought under the judgment of God: 20 because by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified in his sight; for through the law [cometh] the knowledge of sin.

Works of Man's Devising

Jesus words: Mark 7:6 Well did Isaiah prophesy of you hypocrites, as it is written, This people honoreth me with their lips, But their heart is far from me. 7 But in vain do they worship me, Teaching [as their] doctrines the precepts of men. 8 Ye leave the commandment of God, and hold fast the tradition of men. Mark: 7:13 making void the word of God by your tradition, which ye have delivered: and many such like things ye do.

Jesus words: Matt 7:21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. 22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? 23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity. 24 Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock: 25 And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock. 26 And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand: 27 And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it.

Romans 10:3 For they being ignorant of God's righteousness (equity (just, right) (of character or act) just character, right act, acts, steps), and going about to establish their own righteousness (act, acts, steps), have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God.

Catholics have all sorts of man's devised works (their own righteousness).

Catholics and some Protestants have infant baptism, a humanly devised work, conjured up, their own righteousness and hundreds of other man's devised works.

Protestants (Contemporary Evangelical Movement) tell men they are not saved by works (all works).

Protestants (Contemporary Evangelical Movement) hide the fact that they have the "sinners prayer" and a "baptism for a sign only", both are man's devised works, conjured up, their own righteousness.
