Why I find the Catholic charade of selecting a literal high priest (pope) after the order of the old testament, is an abomination, disgusting.

To anyone who read particularly the New testament, without preconceived ideas been influenced while children, instead with an open mind, trying to slowly digest the many teachings in the bible. It is clear that Jesus and the apostles didn't set up a literal priest hood similar to after the old testament literal priest hood.

Instead Jesus and his apostles set up a spiritual priest hood of believers. Says it very clearly.

Apostle Peter's words

I Peter 2:5 ye also, as living stones, are built up a spiritual house, to be a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.

I Peter 2:9 But ye are a elect race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for God`s own possession, that ye may show forth the excellencies of him who called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:

Priesthood of all believers

Meaning anyone who is a Christian according to following the steps described by Jesus and his apostles for atonement of sins and becoming a member of Christ Church is seen as a spiritual/imaginary priest, who reads and studies the words of Jesus and his apostles, to put on Christ life in their steps to direct their path through life, for eternal life.

This is independence of the old testament literal priesthood, thinking for yourselves God establish, not submitting to others, but solely God through Jesus and his apostles writings. Where Jesus is the perfect high priest forever, guiding his followers through his words recorded. The book of Hebrews tells of why the Jesus is the perfect high priest forever, being he is sinless, he is truly incorruptible, and lives forever.

Hebrews 7:17 for it is witnessed [of him,] Thou art a priest for ever After the order of Melchizedek. 18 For there is a disannulling of a foregoing commandment because of its weakness and unprofitableness 19 (for the law made nothing perfect), and a bringing in thereupon of a better hope, through which we draw nigh unto God. 20 And inasmuch as [it is] not without the taking of an oath 21 (for they indeed have been made priests without an oath; but he with an oath by him that saith of him, The Lord sware and will not repent himself, Thou art a priest for ever); 22 by so much also hath Jesus become the surety of a better covenant. 23 And they indeed have been made priests many in number, because that by death they are hindered from continuing: 24 but he, because he abideth for ever, hath his priesthood unchangeable. 25 Wherefore also he is able to save to the uttermost them that draw near unto God through him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them. 26 For such a high priest became us, holy, guileless, undefiled, separated from sinners, and made higher than the heavens; 27 who needeth not daily, like those high priests, to offer up sacrifices, first for his own sins, and then for the [sins] of the people: for this he did once for all, when he offered up himself. 28 For the law appointeth men high priests, having infirmity; but the word of the oath, which was after the law, [appointeth] a Son, perfected for evermore.

Hebrews 8:1 Now in the things which we are saying the chief point [is this]: We have such a high priest, who sat down on the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in the heavens, 2 a minister of the sanctuary, and of the true tabernacle, which the Lord pitched, not man.

Hebrews 9:11 But Christ having come a high priest of the good things to come, through the greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not of this creation, 12 nor yet through the blood of goats and calves, but through his own blood, entered in once for all into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption.

To try to establish a literal high priest in a Pope, is so contrary to Jesus and his apostles teachings.

The Catholics love to parade out the statement by Jesus claiming Peter is the rock. Where instead it's Peter's confession that Jesus is the “Christ” is the rock the church is built upon. Lets even agree that Peter had a central leadership role. But there is no place in the new testament that he is a literal priest and especially not a succession anywhere, what so ever.

The church organization left to us, is independent congregations, their highest authority are elders/overseers stated Paul, then Jesus as the high priest forever.

Acts 14:23, Romans 15:16, Titus 1:5-9

People are very gullible, they love to follow appearances, signs, then to properly research. Many are clueless to what the bible especially the new testament says, they are easily deceived to think the old testament literal priest hood was to past into the new testament establishment of the church, that there are literal priest. These people are indoctrinated by these so called literal priest in the old way of worship under the old testament, told they don't have to read the bible. Thye are told to solely follow their literal priest, even call them father, forbidden by Jesus to call men father as in a spiritual teacher.

For hundreds of years Popes forbid their followers to read the bible or be murdered, burned at the stake, their ashes throw in the rivers, to terrify, terrorize their ignorant followers.

So what does this mean for the Catholic church? It's an abomination to God, clothed in mere appearances of an angel of light, in particular old testament literal priest hood to deceive millions.
