Holy Spirit

(Intent, mental disposition of God)

To them who are new to the non-denom churches of Christ, in my humble opinion, my observations of the churches of Christ, there is a  general consensus belief in the concept of the trinity. Which I concluded limits my brothers and sisters in the Lord, from a more precise, clearer understanding of some scriptures.

The word trinity would be the first place to understand the meaning of the holy spirit or lets say understand how the original meaning has been lost to many. Being the word "trinity" isn't in the bible, the terminology "trinity" was first used 200 years after the bible was written, and established in 325 as catholic doctrine. The trinity's various concepts, have biblical support, but not all.
A particular part of the doctrine of the trinity makes the holy spirit out to be a literal person. Which would be a convenient primary aim of the so called Roman Catholic Church to blind their listeners, from knowing the true meaning of the word spirit, for if they did know, they would have the key to discern scriptures.

Lets first state the spirit is not

  • Speaking whatever comes to one mind, when reading the new testament  (as if one receives instantly all understanding of scripture, and  speaks nonstop)
  • An emotional feeling, frenzy (usually done in large audiences, to get the visitors think they are feeling the holy sprit, instead they are feeling a scam artist,  all the way to their pocket book)
  • Gibberish talk, called speaking in tongues also done by a scam artist (I will add, in my humble opinion, I imagine some are only very mistaken both attendents and leaders), trying to resurrect signs, that were done only for a short time, only to usher in the the New Testament to reveal it's authority from God, but most are not aware of this, the scam artist again wins them over all the way to their pocket book)

    W
hen I first began reading the bible 27 years ago, in the book of proverbs, I couldn't help noticed the personification of wisdom, by king Solomon.  A personification, gives human attributes such as comfort, wrath, laughter, guidance, person hood, to something. Such as king Solomon done to wisdom, to show those who held wisdom, as a woman, were comforted, given guidance, warned, laughed at when her words weren't followed. Aware of the early use of personifications in the bible, then in my in depth studies found the Strong's Concordance define the word spirit, a particular usage of "mental disposition", "thought", made me wonder. I investigated, experimented, placed the words "mental disposition, thought, where the words spirit is in the bible, an eye opener, that reveal not in all places, but in some much more light in areas that were murky at best. This was substantial evidence to show the spirit, was for the most part, 2000 years ago, their way to define mental disposition, thought, intent particularly of God referred to as the holy spirit, originating from God that can be in man, behind written and spoken words.

When you hear people speak about the bible they tend to say the word "context" "attitude" "interpretation". The words context or attitude you will not find in the bible, and the word interpretation, was use in association to explain the meaning of dreams, for a short time in the beginning of the old testament. Why do so called christians use such words? The conclusion I came to, they lost the original meaning of the word spirit, also in the similar words spiritual, spiritually. These three words were their way in biblical times of discerning the intent, mental disposition, thinking behind the written or spoken word.

Communication in itself is not always straight forward, especially comunication that was recorded 2,000 years ago, their are many times when someone speaks,
due to the many word usage's of different ages, times, leaving some details out as a topic progresses, the topic is very complex, and other various reasons are hard to discern the intention, spirit behind them.  Many times people run off with a misconception, a spirit (mental disposition) of error. In recent times in the last hundred years, the world, has made up another word, to replace the word spirit, with the word psychology. People have lost and even in blindness, have ran to psychology, thinking this is where one can discern the inner thinking, mental disposition of man. However to their surprised, psychology is no answer, it has joined itself with science at it's birth place in Germany in 1878, when evidence has plainly shown psychology is not a true science of laws, but bias and faddish, favoring philosophy and urbanist viewpoints, and even worst been unconstitutionally joined to government. The Government field of psychology is usually against the christian perspective, which the field of psyhcology can be classified as a secular religion in government. So before the word psychology was the word spirit, to reveal the intention, mental disposition, particular thinking in people, behind words written and spoken by people.

   T
he holy spirit is God's mental disposition, thought, particular thinking, frame of mind that has the power to exist outside of God, and is liken to software, a program that can dwell in people, it is for the most part the mental disposition, thought behind words by the inspired writer or speaker in the New testament. We have the complete full age of knowledge and prophecy of all necessary spoken words, written, recorded in letters contained in the New Testament for man to search and gather the complete Holy Spirit (mental disposition, thought, particular thinking) of God.

The spirit (mental disposition, thought) isn't retain only in the brain, or another words mind, it can exist outside, meaning when we die, our individual spirit, mental disposition, thought that makes up who we are, within us, does not die. Our spirit (mental disposition, thought) is held until our resurrection, to meet the finale judgment.

Was raised catholic, attended three catholic grammar schools, I observed catholic doctrine manifested in the many catholics, including myself when younger.
I found catholic view of the spirit as a literal person, combined with other false teachings, had mentally blocked catholics from searching the spirit (mental disposition, thought, particular thinking) behind the new testament's writers words, to correctly discern between the spirit of truth and the spirit of error.

Belonging to the non denominational churches of Christ, I have observed through a slogan they use "speak where the bible speaks, silent where the bible is silent", and some other ways such as the use of the word context, to a large degree, enabled them to get past implications of having the false understanding the holy spirit is a literal person. However my brothers and sisters, the slogan has a weakness, it is not a scripture verse, which only tries to replace the proper meaning of the word spirit as intended by God. The slogan makes one less able to discern some very important key verses, even be a few, still weakens brothers and sisters, not discerning the spirit, mental disposition behind them, I pointed out on this site.  My hope through time, my brothers and sisters may be able to get past the slogan and with some careful evaluation, using the true meaning of the word spirit intended, discern the mental disposition, in the verses.

Words that I Speak unto You They are Spirit (mental disposition)

Strongs Concordance 4151 spirit = vital principle, mental disposition, thought, etc.

Jesus said in John 6:63 It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit (mental disposition, thought), and they are life.

1Co 2:11 For who among men knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit (mental disposition, thought) of the man, which is in him?

John 4: 6 They are of the world: therefore speak they of the world, and the world heareth them.We are of God: he that knoweth God heareth us; he that is not of God heareth not us. Hereby know we the spirit (mental disposition, thought) of truth, and the spirit (mental disposition, thought) of error.

Personification in the Bible

Going further a more in-depth understanding of the Holy Spirit, we need to read proverbs. In Proverbs king Solomon writes about  "wisdom" and personifies wisdom as a woman. Why? So people will want the benefit to having her dwell with in them, for she gives comfort to those who cherish her. Any Jew in Jesus' day would be aware of king Solomon personified wisdom.

Proverbs 1:20
Wisdom crieth without; she uttereth her voice in the streets:
21 She crieth in the chief place of concourse, in the openings of the gates: in the city she uttereth her words, saying,
22 How long, ye simple ones, will ye love simplicity? and the scorners delight in their scorning, and fools hate knowledge?
23 Turn you at my reproof: behold, I will pour out my spirit unto you, I will make known my words unto you.

Proverb 2:10
When wisdom entereth into thine heart, and knowledge is pleasant unto thy soul;
11 Discretion shall preserve thee, understanding shall keep thee:
12 To deliver thee from the way of the evil man, from the man that speaketh forward things;

Proverbs 3:13
Happy is the man that findeth wisdom, and the man that getteth understanding.
14 For the merchandise of it is better than the merchandise of silver, and the gain thereof than fine gold.
15 She is more precious than rubies: and all the things thou canst desire are not to be compared unto her.
16 Length of days is in her right hand; and in her left hand riches and honour.
17 Her ways are ways of pleasantness, and all her paths are peace.
18 She is a tree of life to them that lay hold upon her: and happy is every one that retaineth her.

Proverb 4:5
Get wisdom, get understanding: forget it not; neither decline from the words of my mouth.
6 Forsake her not, and she shall preserve thee: love her, and she shall keep thee.
7 Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding.
8 Exalt her, and she shall promote thee: she shall bring thee to honour, when thou dost embrace her.
9 She shall give to thine head an ornament of grace: a crown of glory shall she deliver to thee.

Proverbs 8
1 Doth not wisdom cry? and understanding put forth her voice?
2 She standeth in the top of high places, by the way in the places of the paths.
3 She crieth at the gates, at the entry of the city, at the coming in at the doors.
4 Unto you, O men, I call; and my voice is to the sons of man.
5 O ye simple, understand wisdom: and, ye fools, be ye of an understanding heart.
6 Hear; for I will speak of excellent things; and the opening of my lips shall be right things.
7 For my mouth shall speak truth; and wickedness is an abomination to my lips.
8 All the words of my mouth are in righteousness; there is nothing froward or perverse in them.
9 They are all plain to him that understandeth, and right to them that find knowledge.
10 Receive my instruction, and not silver; and knowledge rather than choice gold.
11 For wisdom is better than rubies; and all the things that may be desired are not to be compared to it.

15 By me kings reign, and princes decree justice.
16 By me princes rule, and nobles, even all the judges of the earth.
17 I love them that love me; and those that seek me early shall find me.
18 Riches and honour are with me; yea, durable riches and righteousness.
19 My fruit is better than gold, yea, than fine gold; and my revenue than choice silver.
20 I lead in the way of righteousness, in the midst of the paths of judgment:
21 That I may cause those that love me to inherit substance; and I will fill their treasures.

32 Now therefore hearken unto me, O ye children: for blessed are they that keep my ways.
33 Hear instruction, and be wise, and refuse it not.
34 Blessed is the man that heareth me, watching daily at my gates, waiting at the posts of my doors.
35 For whoso findeth me findeth life, and shall obtain favour of the LORD.

Proverbs 9:
1   Wisdom hath builded her house, she hath hewn out her seven pillars:
2   She hath killed her beasts; she hath mingled her wine; she hath also furnished her table.
3   She hath sent forth her maidens: she crieth upon the highest places of the city,
4   Whoso is simple, let him turn in hither: as for him that wanteth understanding, she saith to him,
5   Come, eat of my bread, and drink of the wine which I have mingled.
6   Forsake the foolish, and live; and go in the way of understanding.

Personifying the Holy Spirit as a HE

The spirit (mental disposition of God) has came to us by Jesus Christ, in fullness, compared to previously in much lesser degree under the old covenant. Jesus personifies the holy spirit, spirit of truth, as a HE, so people will want the benefit, attributes of the holy spirit dwelling in them same as once wisdom was personified. For the Holy Spirit gives comfort to them who cherish him, like as she, wisdom had also given comfort to them that cherish her. Also the holy spirit when came had powers, wonders for a short period of time to usher in the New testament, the mental disposition, thought of God. Providing another reason to personifying the holy spirit as a HE, not to be feared, but dearly welcomed, by the first century Christians.

John 14:15 If ye love me, ye will keep my commandments. 16 And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may be with you for ever, 17 [even] the Spirit of truth: whom the world cannot receive; for it beholdeth him not, neither knoweth him: ye know him; for he abideth with you, and shall be in you.

John 14:25 These things have I spoken unto you, while [yet] abiding with you. 26 But the Comforter, [even] the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all that I said unto you.

John 15:26 But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, [even] the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall bear witness of me: 27 and ye also bear witness, because ye have been with me from the beginning

John 16:7 Nevertheless I tell you the truth: It is expedient for you that I go away; for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I go, I will send him unto you. 8 And he, when he is come, will convict the world in respect of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment:13 Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he shall guide you into all the truth: for he shall not speak from himself; but what things soever he shall hear, [these] shall he speak: and he shall declare unto you the things that are to come.

Many had not perceived that the person hood (of a man) given to the spirit is a personification, same as applied to wisdom a personification of a woman in the book of proverbs. Wisdom personified as a woman and spirit personified as a man, both comforted and taught truth. The spirit also brought a brief time of powers, wonders, to confirm the truth, ushered in the written New testament.

Confirming the Word by the Signs that Followed

Mark 16:19 So then the Lord Jesus, after he had spoken unto them, was received up into heaven, and sat down at the right hand of God. 20 And they went forth, and preached everywhere, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word by the signs that followed.

The Baptism (immersion) of the Holy Spirit (mental disposition) was a short period of time in the first century, when there was miraculous revealing of the will, thoughts of God. During a time when the New Testament as we know didn't exist. Instead miraculous the mental dispostion of God, God's Spirit spoke directly to them, revealed to them the knowledge of God's will, his spiritual kingdom, prophecy (future events that will happen), tongues (speaking in another known language, never learned), doing miracles and wonders, and ability to remember, discern Christ teachings.

Acts 2:1: And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. 2: And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting. 3: And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them. 4: And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.

Acts 2:5 Now there were dwelling at Jerusalem Jews, devout men, from every nation under heaven. 6 And when this sound was heard, the multitude came together, and were confounded, because that every man heard them speaking in his own language. 7 And they were all amazed and marvelled, saying, Behold, are not all these that speak Galilaeans? 8 And how hear we, every man in our own language wherein we were born? 9 Parthians and Medes and Elamites, and the dwellers in Mesopotamia, in Judaea and Cappadocia, in Pontus and Asia, 10 in Phrygia and Pamphylia, in Egypt and the parts of Libya about Cyrene, and sojourners from Rome, both Jews and proselytes, 11 Cretans and Arabians, we hear them speaking in our tongues the mighty works of God. 12 And they were all amazed, and were perplexed, saying one to another, What meaneth this? 13 But others mocking said, They are filled with new wine.

Acts 2:14: But Peter, standing up with the eleven, lifted up his voice, and said unto them, Ye men of Judaea, and all ye that dwell at Jerusalem, be this known unto you, and hearken to my words: 15: For these are not drunken, as ye suppose, seeing it is but the third hour of the day. 16: But this is that which was spoken by the prophet Joel; 17: And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams: 18: And on my servants and on my handmaidens I will pour out in those days of my Spirit; and they shall prophesy: 19: And I will shew wonders in heaven above, and signs in the earth beneath; blood, and fire, and vapour of smoke: 20: The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before that great and notable day of the Lord come: 21: And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved.

Acts 2:38: Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. 39: For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call. 40: And with many other words did he testify and exhort, saying, Save yourselves from this untoward generation. 41: Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls.

Apostles had to Lay Thier hands On Them To receive the Holy Spirit Powers

Recorded in the word of God, the Apostles had to lay their hands upon the new converts, so they may also receive the Holy Spirit's powers of tongues along with perhaps doing miracles and wonders.

Acts 8:5 And Philip went down to the city of Samaria, and proclaimed unto them the Christ. 6 And the multitudes gave heed with one accord unto the things that were spoken by Philip, when they heard, and saw the signs which he did.

Acts 8:12 But when they believed Philip preaching good tidings concerning the kingdom of God and the name of Jesus Christ, they were baptized, both men and women.

Acts 8:14 Now when the apostles that were at Jerusalem heard that Samaria had received the word of God, they sent unto them Peter and John: 15 who, when they were come down, prayed for them, that they might receive the Holy Spirit: 16 for as yet it was fallen upon none of them: only they had been baptized into the name of the Lord Jesus. 17 Then laid they their hands on them, and they received the Holy Spirit.

Holy Spirit Powers, Money?

Acts 8:9: But there was a certain man, called Simon, which beforetime in the same city used sorcery, and bewitched the people of Samaria, giving out that himself was some great one: 10: To whom they all gave heed, from the least to the greatest, saying, This man is the great power of God. 11: And to him they had regard, because that of long time he had bewitched them with sorceries. 12: But when they believed Philip preaching the things concerning the kingdom of God, and the name of Jesus Christ, they were baptized, both men and women. 13: Then Simon himself believed also: and when he was baptized, he continued with Philip, and wondered, beholding the miracles and signs which were done.

Acts 8:18 Now when Simon saw that through the laying on of the apostles' hands the Holy Spirit was given, he offered them money, 19 saying, Give me also this power, that on whomsoever I lay my hands, he may receive the Holy Spirit. 20 But Peter said unto him, Thy silver perish with thee, because thou hast thought to obtain the gift of God with money. 21 Thou hast neither part nor lot in this matter: for thy heart is not right before God. 22 Repent therefore of this thy wickedness, and pray the Lord, if perhaps the thought of thy heart shall be forgiven thee. 23 For I see that thou art in the gall of bitterness and in the bond of iniquity. 24 And Simon answered and said, Pray ye for me to the Lord, that none of the things which ye have spoken come upon me. 25 They therefore, when they had testified and spoken the word of the Lord, returned to Jerusalem, and preached the gospel to many villages of the Samaritans.

Only by the apostles laying on of their hands, were the signs, speaking in tongues, doing miracles and wonders, transferred to individuals. With one exception, the time when as a sign "speaking in tongues" was instantaneously given the gentiles (
people who are not Jews), to reveal and show Jews which accompanied Peter, and for especially Gentiles that read the account, through God's miraculous sign, gave authority Gentiles were to be baptized for forgiveness of sins, allowed to enter in the spiritual kingdom of heaven, the church, but these individuals could not transfer tongues and the doing of miracles and wonders to others.
Acts 10:44 While Peter yet spake these words, the Holy Spirit fell on all them that heard the word. 45 And they of the circumcision that believed were amazed, as many as came with Peter, because that on the Gentiles also was poured out the gift of the Holy Spirit. 46 For they heard them speak with tongues, and magnify God. Then answered Peter, 47 Can any man forbid the water, that these should not be baptized, who have received the Holy Spirit as well as we? 48 And he commanded them to be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ. Then prayed they him to tarry certain days.
Note: Protestants (contemporary evangelical movement) reason, teach since the gentiles received the holy spirit when spoke in tongues, they must be saved before immersion (water, baptism). They fail to see the toleration of God, a period when man's sins are passed over, as yet not forgiven. Roms 3:24-26 God loved, worked (grace) by way of his son Jesus' shed blood proclaims his righteousness to man while in sin, God has passed over the man's sin (not forgiven yet) toleration, in the forbearance of God, to show, proclaim his rightousness, to justify man in belief, repentance, confess Jesus is the Christ and immersion (water, baptism) forgives their sins, is justified from sin Roms 6:7 ASVUnder the new covenant, to baptize gentiles (people who are not Jews) for the first time is a significant event, a sign by God was given before their baptism, that no man (especially a Jew) will say gentles are not allowed to be immersed (water) to forgive their sins, to enter the spiritual kingdom of heaven, the church. Peter a Jew himself, proclaimed to other Jews accompanied him "who can forbid water, that these should not be baptized?"

Wisdom of God

I Corinthians 2:1: And I, brethren, when I came to you, came not with excellency of speech or of wisdom, declaring unto you the testimony of God. 2: For I determined not to know any thing among you, save Jesus Christ, and him crucified. 3: And I was with you in weakness, and in fear, and in much trembling. 4: And my speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of man's wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit (logic, mental disposition of God) and of power: 5:6: Howbeit we speak wisdom among them that are perfect (5046 complete growth, of full age): yet not the wisdom of this world, nor of the princes of this world, that come to nought: 7: But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory: 8: Which none of the princes of this world knew: for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory. 9: But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.

Revealed Them unto us by His Spirit

I Corinthians 2:10: But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit (logic, mental disposition): for the Spirit (logic, mental disposition of God) searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God. 11: For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit (logic mental disposition) of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit (logic, mental dispostion) of God. 12: Now we have received, not the spirit (logic, mental dispostion) of the world, but the spirit (logic, mental disposition) which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God. 13: Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost (pure mental disposition of God) teacheth; comparing spiritual (logical of God) things with spiritual (logical things of God). 14: But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit (logic, mental dispostion) of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually (logically of God) discerned.

But We Have the Mind of Christ

I Cointhians 2:15: But he that is spiritual (logical of God) judgeth all things, yet he himself is judged of no man. 16: For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ. That your faith (God's persuasion) should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God.

The spirit (holy) or Holy Spirit of God, is not of this world's mental dispositions, its God's mental disposition, came to us by Jesus and apostles, which dwells in men today.

 Comparisons
Modern words that compare to the word spirit

spirit = logic = psychology = mental disposition = intent

spiritual = logical = psychological = mental disposition = intent

spiritually = logically = psychologically = mental disposition = intent

Ushered in the Perfect (full growth prophecy and knowledge)

The Apostle Paul wrote to the Corinthians church, had a prophecy, that the knowledge and prophecy revealed miraculously will be done away with, when the perfect in Greek meaning grown, completeness of full age (prophecy and knowledge) is come.

perfect 5046 teleioV tel'-i-os from teloV - telos 5056; complete (in various applications of labor, growth, mental and moral character, etc.); neuter (as noun, with 3588) completeness:--of full age, man, perfect.

The perfect arrival would be within their lifetime, that all the knowledge and prophecy would begin to reach it's completeness of full age, maturity, simultaneously resulting in bringing them to be matured, full age in Christ Jesus. The time Paul wrote his prophecy, they only know in part and prophesy in part, (some spoken teachings and letters so far), mark, luke, John, many letters of Paul, Peter, John and revelations weren't written yet, this would caused limited spiritual growth as exhibited in the Corinthians church, but soon all the letters will be written, knowing fully, a complete new testament. All essential spoken and written teachings, recorded in letters will be increasingly available, liken as a mirror clearly reflecting the fullness of Christ, as face to face, fully knowing Christ.

I corth 13:8 Love never faileth: but whether [there be] prophecies, they shall be done away; whether [there be] tongues, they shall cease; whether [there be] knowledge, it shall be done away. 9 For we know in part, and we prophesy in part; 10 but when that which is perfect is come, that which is in part shall be done away. 11 When I was a child, I spake as a child, I felt as a child, I thought as a child: now that I am become a man, I have put away childish things. 12 For now we see in a mirror, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know fully even as also I was fully known. 13 But now abideth faith, hope, love, these three; and the greatest of these is love.

To also prove Paul's prophecy that knowledge and prophecy has been done away with, for 1900 years no additional knowledge or prophecy has been added to the New Testament. Paul along with this ending of prophecy and knowledge, wrote tongues (miraculous being able to speak in known languages, without ever learning them) will cease, the tongues along with miracles and wonders were a sign of authority, to confirm the voice heard, revealing knowledge and prophecy, was of God. Also tongues transmitted the words to other's who spoke deferent languages, for the same length of time of the revealing of knowledge and prophecy miraculously delivered to them.

James describes the person looking into the
perfect (5046 completeness of full age) law (N.T.)

James 1:25 But he that looketh into the perfect (5046 completeness of full age) law (N.T.), the [law] of liberty, and [so] continueth, being not a hearer that forgetteth but a doer that worketh, this man shall be blessed in his doing.

These hard to discern circumstances of the early church becomes a stumbling block for many today, many are deceived into thinking this special way God has revealed himself, would continue in every generation. The people who believe this, create many false notions that they have some special knowledge of God's will of his spiritual kingdom and prophecy revealed from God, not found in scriptures, and with false signs, such as speaking in tongues, they want their followers to put their absolute trust in them alone.

Last Apostle Died  Ended The Age of the Holy Spirit Powers

When the last Apostle died, there were no more Apostles to lay their hands on people to transfer the Holy Spirit's powers of tongues (speaking in other languages without ever learning them) along with perhaps doing miracles and wonders. Ending the age of powers of tongues along with doing miracles and wonders, which were for the purpose of confirming the New Testament, once and forever. Once the word was confirmed, the word then held within, the recorded signs (tongues along with miracles and wonders that were done) so later generations would receive faith (God's persuasion), confirming the words they read are of God.

Romans 8:1-9 1 There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. 2 For the law of the Spirit (mental disposition) of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.
Ephesians 6:17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:

Heb: 4:12 For the word of God is living, and active, and sharper than any two-edged sword, and piercing even to the dividing of soul and spirit, of both joints and marrow, and quick to discern the thoughts and intents of the heart.

2 Timothy 3:16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness :17 That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.

The Trinity Concept Is Part False

The trinity concept is part false, that teaches the holy spirit is an actual person, the bible never confirms. What the bible does confirm is it's history of personifying, such as the case of king Solomon personified wisdom as she. The trinity's teaching, the holy spirit is an actual person, diminishes the comprehension of perceiving the spirit as a mental disposition, particular thinking that one receives when hearing, cherishing, reading, meditating on the words in the N.T., where lays the holy spirit = logic = psychology = mental disposition = intent of Christ and his apostles.
The trinity concept (even though the word trinity isn't in the bible) is correct in regards to both Jesus, God and the holy spirit (holy mental disposition) are one. God and his son, both have the same holy spirit (holy mental disposition, comes to us through written words contain in the bible) which originates from God.
The holy spirit (holy mental disposition, holy intent, thinking of God, which is in his son Christ Jesus, then his Apostles and then others) was closed off largely (not absolutely) for over a thousand years to especially people who believed in the trinity. The trinity, particularly the part perceiving the holy spirit is an actual person (the bible does not confirm), was created by the Catholic centralized hierarchy (a small group of men without scriptural support in power over of all congregations beneath them) at the council of Nicaea in 325. The Catholic centralized hierarchy were enabled to remain in power, by overly mystified the holy spirit, teaching, emphases the holy spirit is an actual person, a stumbling block to the centralize hierarchy themselves and their hearers not allowing the perception the holy spirit is the holy mental disposition of God.

If the people being in subjugation to the Catholic centralized hierarchy:
  • Had realized the holy spirit was not an actual person, but a mental disposition to cherish, study, and learn in the bible
  • Had the bible text not been forbidden, outlawed, discourage to be in possession, by the Catholic centralized hierarchy for over a thousand years
  • Had the bible text not been spoken in an uncommon language at the weekly service, directed by the Catholic centralized hierarchy for over a thousand years
  • Had not been terrorized with torture, burned at the stake, their ashes thrown in the river, dead people's bones dug up to also be burned, their ashes thrown in the river, by the edict of the Pope
  • Had not people excused away this wickness, darkness
More people would of had a desire to seek and retain the words of God, within their minds and hearts, to search diligently to perceive the spirit (mental disposition) in Christ and his apostles. The Catholic centralized hierarchy, small group of men (without scriptural support, lavishing in prominence) over all the congregations beneath them, to remain in power kept their hearers sufficiently in the dark .

Jesus is thee God, thee Father?

Another concept, perhaps not concerning the trinity, is many say Jesus is thee God, thee Father. I find this concept is more populism, it tickles men's ears, then anything. For the unknowledgeable, or for them who just want to sound like they are so reverent, they dare not to say anything different.
There are plain verses that prove that Jesus is not thee God, not thee father.

Matt 24:34 Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass away, till all these things be accomplished. 35 Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away. 36 But of that day and hour knoweth no one, not even the angels of heaven, neither the Son, but the Father only.

Mark 10:17 And as he was going forth into the way, there ran one to him, and kneeled to him, and asked him, Good Teacher, what shall I do that I may inherit eternal life? 18 And Jesus said unto him, Why callest thou me good? none is good save one, [even] God.

Jesus gives up his spirit to the Father, if Jesus is the Father, is then Jesus speaking to himself?

Luke 23:46 And Jesus, crying with a loud voice, said, Father, into thy hands I commend my spirit: and having said this, he gave up the ghost.

Even in heaven it is revealed Jesus is not God, the Father, for he sits to the right side of the father. If Jesus was the father as many proclaim, then Jesus would be sitting where the father is sitting. In their error, many are actually lowering God, the father to the place of Jesus. They are not giving God due reverence.

Acts 2:29 Men and brethren, let me freely speak unto you of the patriarch David, that he is both dead and buried , and his sepulchre is with us unto this day. 30 Therefore being a prophet, and knowing that God had sworn with an oath to him, that of the fruit of his loins, according to the flesh, he would raise up Christ to sit on his throne; 31 He seeing this before spake of the resurrection of Christ, that his soul was not left in hell, neither his flesh did see corruption. 32 This Jesus hath God raised up , whereof we all are witnesses. 33 Therefore being by the right hand of God exalted , and having received of the Father the promise of the Holy Ghost, he hath shed forth this, which ye now see and hear . 34 For David is not ascended into the heavens: but he saith himself, The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand, 35 Until I make thy foes thy footstool . 36 Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly, that God hath made that same Jesus, whom ye have crucified , both Lord and Christ.

What can be said of Jesus, Jesus has the full weight of authority behind him, to such a degree we can say God is with us, and we even bow down to give homage. The analogy below shows how in kingship, ruler over a people, the son is regarded as the king, especially when sent to a far off country, where there are the subjects of thee king. This concept, is very understandable.

A king (God) sends his son (Jesus) to a far off country (earth), where the king's (God's) subjects are awaiting the king's (God's) will for them. Speaking what his father the king (God) told his son (Jesus) to speak. The son (Jesus) of the King (God) is to even be honor with all the respect, kneeled before and glorified as his father the King (God) also receives, such as even to the point of calling him king, and king with us (God, God with us) the son of thee king (God). However the son (Jesus) is still not thee king (God) himself, but only the son (Jesus) of his father thee King (God). That the son (Jesus) and his father the king (God) have the same holy spirit (holy mental disposition), are one.

There are many various concepts, trinitarianism, binitarianism, and unitarianism through out early history proposed. However since the Catholic centralized hierarchy (small group of men, then down to one man (pope), in control of all the congregations beneath them) formed in 312AD. Adopted early on in 325AD, a concept of the trinity, it became the more widely know concept. Especially do to many who disagreed, were
tortured, murdered, burned at the stake, their ashes thrown in the river, dead people's bones dug up to also be burned, their ashes thrown in the river, at the orders of the catholic centralized hierarchy (small group of men, then down to one man (pope), in control of all the congregations beneath them) .
If men truly did cherish the
holy spirit = logic = psychology = mental disposition = intent of Christ and the Apostles, they would find the the true church (groups of believers) and be saved.

God Bless
